  • WEFTEC 2007 was a HUGE success for EDI and Diffuser Express. The 3 day event in San Diego California was the highest attended WEFTEC and EDI doubled their booth size from a 20X20 booth to 20X40 which was a great example of EDI's growth and increased market share of advanced aeration systems. Thank You to everyone that traveled across the country and the globe to visit us in California, EDI and Diffuser Express appreciate your commitment.
  • EDI has happily been the host of many international visitors over the past few weeks. Kubota Wastewater Group (Japan) and Nishihara Environment Technology Inc. (Japan) visited EDI for product training and technical discussions on EDI products. In addition to product training, factory tour, lab demonstrations, and product installation demonstrations they also visited an EDI diffuser installation near St. Louis. This past week EDI welcomed individuals from SEEN Technologies (Vietnam). The week was spent by touring an EDI major activated sludge facilities in Dallas, Texas and Little Blue Valley WWTP in Missouri. All these visits will pave the way for future wastewater treatment plant construction in Asia utilizing EDI’s advanced technology systems.

  • On Wednesday April 18, Mike Furst EDI Regional / Account Manager made a technical presentation at the California Clean Water Association Annual Conference.  This year the Conference was in Ontario, CA. Mike’s presentation was titled “Energy Savings with Fine Bubble Aeration”.  EDI had a booth at the Exposition as well.

  • Environmental Dynamics has entered into a contract with Kirk Brothers Construction to provide an innovative lagoon based wastewater treatment process for the town of Bloomville, Ohio. The new technology blends EDI’s proven ATLAS IS™ process with fixed film and cover technology to provide a low cost solution for upgrading the effluent quality for nitrification. Installation is scheduled for late spring of 2007.
  • Two Brand new Technical Bulletins have been added to EDI Tech Bulletins. The two new bulletins are Effects on Aeration Piping and Air Volume Conversions .

  • EDI’s Membrane Technology division has announced their latest addition to EDI’s diverse inventory of Fine Bubble material selections. The new PTFE Shield™ membrane is a premium membrane that prevents biological growth and blocks against harmful precipitants. EDI has been offering EPDM, Polyurethane, High Temp Polyurethane, Silicone, Silicone/EPDM Blend, Nitrite, and Biocide™ membranes for many years. The PTFE Shield™ is a major addition with new membrane technology. See EDI Tech Bulletin 114 for more information on EDI’s selected membrane materials.
  • EDI announces the introduction of two new anti-fouling membrane technologies that provide superior field performance, reduced maintenance, and extended service life. Contact your local representative or EDI for additional product details.
  • Environmental Dynamics, Inc recently held a two day Training Seminar on Advanced Technology Aeration Systems. Attending this training were Mr. Robert Gellin and Mr. Kai Beltoft from Degremont Denmark and Mr. Hao Pham from Infilco Degremont in Richmond, VA. Future training sessions will be conducted for Key Accounts and Market Partners and scheduled as necessary.
  • Read “ATLAS-IS™ Demonstration Project Performance Update – Jan 2006” and see current performance information for the ATLAS-IS system at Ashland, MO.  The ATLAS-IS system was originally installed in 2002 to demonstrate the cold weather nitrification capabilities of the process.  The system continues to be operated by the City of Ashland since the completion of the demonstration project in March 2004.  The report presents performance information for the plant thru January 2006.
  • Frederic, WI – EDI’s new ATLAS-IS ™ system was commissioned in September 2005. This new innovative lagoon system is designed to provide advanced levels of treatment performance including year-round nitrification even in the most severe climates.
  • Selma, AL – EDI was awarded the turn-key contract to install a floating lateral aeration system at the International Paper Riverdale Mill in Selma, AL. The installation replaces an existing submerged lateral fine bubble diffuser system.
  • As Samra, Jordan – EDI was contracted by Degrémont of France to furnish the aeration equipment for the As Samra WWTP in Jordan.
